  • Easy question: output jack wiring

Ok... I've always had problems with wiring the output jack on guitars before. Once and for all (since I'm wiring my Epi top to bottom), does the metal ring that's attached to the inner silver area go to the middle lug on a pot and the other ring is grounded to the back of a pot?

I never understood the whole "tip" thing before... I'm a little slow

That one is grounded to the back of the pot.

Gypsy, give me your tears. If you will not give them to me, I will take them from you.

      Thanks!

Sure enough, after getting the output jack right it works perfectly. No ground buzz or anything. The Dimarzio Classic PAF works well in the Epi too
