kinda a tricky question. the sh6 is bright but not very open sounding on the top with lots of mids so not that, the custom is brighter than the c5 but it has more mids than the c5 which could mean that the c5 sounds brighter to you
I've used them all, and found the Custom the brightest. I know everyone loves them, but I cant stand it. Way too much bass, too much treble, and too much ceramic grit.

My sentiments exactly; i've also tried all 3 and found the custom to be the brightest........and not necessarily in a good way. The distortion IMHO is a better high output ceramic based p-up; it's aggressive mids really cut through a mix and it has a less "boomy", more controllable bass than the custom.
All of them have a lot of treble, too much for my ears because I like to get the high end from my amp (much easier to add treble than take it away w/o making the tone mush), so if you want a warmer pup I would not go for any of these.

The C5 seems brighter, but it's not gritty under low-medium gain like the other two. The DD cuts through the best, IMHO, but the Custom is the most balanced of the 3.
