little 59er in strat

I am putting a lil 59er in the bridge position of my strat with noiseless sc's in the middle and neck. Is there a real need to be able to split the coils to single coils in the 2nd and 4th switch positions?

I wouldn't split the coils when in the neck/middle powsition, but it might give you a more authentic strat tone if you had a thinner bridge position when in the middle bridge. You can split your Lil 59 so that it will do this, but I would just wire it to a push/pull pot for series/paralle switching. The parallel mode will sound close to a single, but still be humcancelling.
