Do you need to consider a different PUP for Hardtail Bridge than a Trem Bridge strat?

I think it's probably a matter of taste, but you might consider the fact that a hardtail Strat is going to have a lot more punch than a normal Strat. In fact, it's going to resemble a Tele in tone. Have you considered a JB Jr? Or maybe a Demon? The vintage pups will work quite well, too. I like the sound of a hardtail quite a bit more than that of a normal Strat. I think it's 'cuz there's more wood there.

I'd go with a Twangbanger in a hardtail strat bridge.

Lou...what kind of tones to you want from it? Vintage type strat tones, beefier than that?

The Twangbanger is a great suggestion for the bridge. A SSL-6 might sound really cool in there as well. If you want more of a vintage vibe, a set of APS's would really sound nice. You could always spend the cash on Antiquities as well!
