  • C5=Ultimate Bogner Pickup?

    Since Bogners have plenty of low-mids, I'd wager that a C-5 (which lacks low-mids) would be a perfect match for these amps. Anyone using a C-5 with a Bogner care to comment (GJ?)?

    Is balancing the tonal spectrum really what you want though? In the October issue of Guitar World (with Trey Anastasio on the cover, of Phish) there's an article about Dave Mustaine... he makes a smart comment in saying that you don't want to suck up all of the EQ possibilities with having a really bassy/middy/trebly guitar.. you need to leave room for the drums and bass. Metallica had problems with this on AJFA.
    EBMM JPX BFR (Crunch Lab/Liquifire)
    Schecter C-1 Classic (Custom8/Jazz)
    Mayones Duvell 7 Standard (Instrumental SFTY-3/Decomp)
    G&L Tribute Comanche
    Godin Stadium 59 (Custom Cajun/'59)
    Horizon Precision Drive --> Fulltone FB3/FD 2 --> Crybaby From Hell (Fasel) --> Boss BF-2 --> CH-1 --> TC Flashback X4
    Mesa/Boogie Mark IV-B (SED =C= 6L6) + EarCandy BuzzBomb 2x12 (V30/C90)

      Not sure I get that because every guitar will have at least some bass, mids, and treble.

        AJFA had the worst guitar sound in the mix that Metallica ever recorded.

          That is why it is good that allows the natural tone of the guitar to come through. This is a big reason why I like lower output pickups!! The Rio BBq is a nice pickup in this regard in that it has decent but not over powering bass, solid mids, and controlled, smooth highs.
