  • Lil' 59 in Bridge Position

Just installed a Lil' 59 in the bridge of my '98 Strat and left the stock Fender middle and neck pickups in. My problem is whilst the '59 sounds great it ain't hum-cancelling. Wot have I done wrong guys and girls, coz I've never modded any of my guitars before?

    Any ideas much appreciated

    Welcome to the Forum!

Ok , to wire the Lil 59 into your strat, you need to first solder the red and whit wires together and tape them off. Then, you will take the shield (bare wire) and black wire and solder them to the back of the volume pot. The las step is to solder the green wire to the switch and you should be set. Make sure all connections are good and that all solder joints are strong and shiny. Good luck.

What am I doing wrong? Tried your advice but it does'nt seem to work. The way I had wired it before was:

      Black to switch

      Green and bare to ground

Red and white soldered and taped

Check your donnections again annd make sure they are all clean, solid and shiny. Don't worry, sometimes it takes more than one try to get it all right.
