  • Got Phat Cat!

I just got a phat cat to try in the neck of my Les Paul I got it quickly from Blackrose.. all good .. can't wait to hear it.. clips soon.

I am afraid to install it tonight though, because I'm in a triathlon tomorrow and I shouldn't be staying up late.. which I definitely will do, if I install this thing tonight

The one I have in the neck of my Tele sounds mighty fine, so I think you're in for a treat if you survive the triathlon.

Kelsey's Tele sounded great! If you like a bright and open neck tone, then it's awesome. Somewhat like a minihumbucker (which is my favorite of all time)...

I put the phat cat in my Les Paul neck position and it's very cool. It's still thick but not boomy on the lower notes- very glassy too. It's weird, but cool I am sure that I'll get used to it pretty quickly.. looks like the 59 is going in one of my teles.
