Actually I have one Dime but I've installed a few for other people. I like it a lot for hard rock, metal and detuned stuff and everyone I've installed it for have been very happy.

One thing that's also cool about the Dime is that you can also get a clean tone with it.
If you roll the volume down to about 1 or 2 it gets a nice little twang.
The Dimebucker is actually a pretty clean pickup, it does not have mega gain or anything like that, but more of a crunch that helps smush your tone together and make it more focused.
It also stays true to picking dynamics as well.
I have one in both of my SG's.

I actually didn't like the dime too much. When I first got my LTD (basswood) it had a dimebucker in the bridge. It sounded better in drop tunings but in E I found the tone to be a little artifical, harsh. I switched it out with a JB and I like it alot better, it seems more natural sounding to me. But it also has the aggression and output I need for harder music, also I think the highs of the jb sit well in basswood.
