  • Simpleton needs help wiring pickups

Ok guys, I am the simpleton in question and I know that this is a really easy question that loads of you can help me with.

I've got two stacked pickups I want to put in my Tele, no fancy phase switching or coil tapping, just bog basic neck, bridge and both wiring. All the schematics I've seen show how to wire a h/bucker in the bridge or neck but not both.

So which wires go to ground, which are the hot outputs, which do I solder together etc?

Please use simpleton language, as I am one.

    Thanks in advance.

Hi Moog; If they're stacked pickups, I'm assuming that they are 4-wire, and follow the normal hb color code. So, you'ld use a combination of two drawings. Actually, just one, but using another for added clarity.

      Wire it like this:

But use this diagram for a reference on how to deal with the two spare wires: red and white:

If thats still confusing, let me know, and I'll make you a custom drawing when I get home tonight.
