  • Double Neck Pickups - polarity issues?

I've pretty much settled on going for the PRS Soapbar config on my Paul - Vintage P-90 neck in the neck and Custom P-90 neck in the bridge. WIll this cause anything weird to happen when I use both? Can I flip the pickups to correct the situation? Will it affect the tone if I do? WIll I get a (really fat)strat-esque notch tone when using both? Can I just swap wires on hookup - Help!

Nah, you won't run into any problems. I don't have P-90's in a Paul, but I do have a pair of Phat Cats in my Sheraton and the middle position is very clear and sparkly with a ton of punch on tap. I recorded some clean stuff recently with it and my friend thought I recorded it using my tele. I imagine that having the Custom P-90 in the bridge would fatten up your mid position.
    Ain't nothin' but a G thang, baby.

a lot of how the middle position sounds is due to the balance between the two pups so pup height has alot to do with how it sounds. i think that prs style combo sounds really nice
