  • A little help, please?

I'm looking into changing out the single coil pup in the neck of my old Ibanez. I'm looking for something with a tight bottom, smooth mids, and spankin' highs. As for output, it doesn't have to drive my amp, but I don't want to have to turn up my amp just to hear it. As far as how it would be used, I like playing everything from metal to blues to jazz to classical, so I would probably use it for clean to slightly dirty tone. My guitar has a maple neck and fretboard, and the body is alder. Anybody got any ideas? Your help is appreciated.

That was a pickup I hadn't even thought of...I just looked at the tone guide and listened to the sound clips, and saw that the vintage strat also looked like a good contender. Anybody out there use either of these pickups in a neck position?

I love the APS flat at the neck of my strat.
