  • Hum Problem

I got my JB & Jazz Yeaterday, installed them today.

Only problem is, I get hum except whe I'm touching the strings/bridge.

I'm guessing this is a ground problem, but I can't figure out why, green and bare are soldered to ground, and the wire from the bridge is soldered to ground, nothing else has changed wiring-wise.

    Any suggestions?
"What frequency are you getting? Is it noise or sweet, sweet music?"

It's not like it's a major problem, I mean when it matters i'll be touching the strings, but I just wanted to make sure I hadn't forgot something.

The soldering is not the best (actually it's very bad) but I got new pots on order, so it'll be re-done soon, may cure it?

it's not a major problem as there's no huge hum unless you're not touching the strings.. i got new pots when i bought the duncans, so the problem lies somewhere else as my solder joints are good, but i think it's because i have very little, to no shielding in the cavities. we both might want to look into that =)
