  • Designed by Semour Duncan.. wiring?

I bought some pickups on ebay the other day that simply say "Designed by Semour Duncan" on the covers. It's a humbuker and two single coils, a 5 way switch, 1 vol, 2 tone, and a 3 way small silver switch. They are not connected and I was wondering if someone could tell me more about the pickups and how they are wired?

    Thanks,
    Mike Stoddard

Re: Designed by Semour Duncan.. wiring?

If the duncan designed has the same coilconfiguration with seymour duncan PUP, then this may be helps U :
if ur PUP has 4 conductors (color wire) , then the standard wiring is:
    * black wire : solder it to switch
    * green and bare (bare is the wire with no shileding) : solder together to ground (bottom of the volume potentio)
    * red and white : solder together and not coneccting to anywhere. just cover it with electrical tape.

there are some more wiring like split , pararel, and u can find them in the seymour's website.

    good luck
