    i'm currently using a HH with a 5 way selector...with solid mahogany body.....im currently running on a '59(neck)JB(bridge) and im thinknig of changing to livewire metal...my question is with a 5 way selector, can this pickup be split or coiled tapped since it is active?

    Hi, welcome.

    The only one I know of is the EMG 89, It has HB and SC functions, not sure about the duncans though, sorry.

      I'm fairly certain that all the LiveWires are 2-conductor. And on top of that, they're potted in epoxy. I doubt that you can "split" or "tap" any of them.

        @rinse_master: is the emg 89 better as a bridge pickup or a neck pickup?

          To be honest I don't really know, I don't have any EMG's, but I *think* they work in either, maybe a few of the others who are more knowledgeable on this will comment soon...
