Installed EMGS woot1

I love my Emgs they are awsome but i got a problem, since my dad installed them for free heh,,, i just recently noticed a problem, wehn i turn the volume knob up from the lower it makes a noise and same when i turn it down from the max volume Does anybody kno what the problem is, cuz it is driving me insane!

-Gibson amp( model unknown its too old)

Dirty or defective pot. Clean or replace it. I'm sure some other guys here can recommend some pot cleaner.
