  • strange problem,how to cure?

after taking the advice from some here i bought a custom to replace the stock JB on a usa kramer pacer imperial.
i love the custom for what i wanted(a JB type tone with more low end girth)
BUT now when i play clean with the toggle in the middle postion(custom./jazz on together) it does not sound as good as the JB/jazz on together?
is this becuase of the customs ceramic magnet?

some pups blend better. the jb/jazz are a great combo that mix very well. i find that a 59 and a custom blend well togeather. try adjusting the heights of the pups to see if you can get a tone you like more.

set which ever pup you use most first, get the sound you want from that pup. then adjust the height of the other so that it sounds good by itself and with both pups on

      thanks jeremy

is there any chance the new custom is not in phase with the older jazz from 1986?
see i play a old USA kramer that had a JB/jazz stock and just replaced the JB

i suppose its possible, switch the hot and ground wire on one pup, but id be a little supprised. that would definitly change the sound quite a bit though
