  • Strat Ultra/Red Humbucker to Convert Sound into Semi HollowBody?

On a Strat Ultra ( ebony neck, Blue, Gold,Red Dual Humbucker, all Lace sensor), I want to change the bridge pup to sound more semi hollow body, warm , accoustic, for rhytm work. Anybody can recommend a pup that can do the job? I was thinking of changing, like I said the bridge pup, which is a red dual hum. Any suggestions?
    Thanks

    Welcome to the forum!

A semi-hollow guitar has a tendency of being somewhat bright with a hollow, woody midrange when played in the bridge position, which is very different from your strat. A Red Dually might be too hot and fat for this. If you want to keep it Lace, you might have better luck with a Silver/Gold dually or an all gold Dually.
    Ain't nothin' but a G thang, baby.

I have suggestions for the EJ DP212f, Dimarzio Super d, Duncan Custom. Any ideas?
      Thanks

Ouch, making a Strat Ultra into a semi hollow body is not easy. But perhaps a Duncan Custom with its somewhat darker sound, or a Dimarzio Breed, also with that style can do the job.
