Stag Mag. Excellent split sound. But only sounds good in neck position, IMO.

the PG neck split is a good tone, but its not really close to a single coil.......at least not a good single coil

My first thought would be a JB/Jazz too
But, I hear the Pearly Gates neck can sound like a pretty convincing strat pup when split as well, I'm getting a JB/Jazz loaded guitar ending this week or beginning next week and I'll post some comments when I change the pots

the best buckers I've ever split is a Jazz neck and JB bridge. As close to strat like that you can get in a bucker. I've actually done that with a C-1 Elite. I'm about to buy another white one and put that exact pickup combo in it.

What pickups work well with a coil tap?

I just got this new schecter diamond seriers c-1 elite. I came with to duncan designs and I want to replace them with something better. This is my frist guitar that ever came with a coil tap. I use it alot and I really like it. How would a full shred(neck) and full shred (bridge) sound split? My amp is a peavey cab with 4 12inch speakers and a supreme head. thx for the help
