  • The best single coil humbucker...

What is in your opinion the best sounding single coil humbucker? In which position do you use it and for what type of music??

In the past, I have used the Hot Rails in the bridge on a Strat and in the middle of a HSH Ibanez. Gutsiest Strat pickup I've ever used.

However, I recently added a Quarter Pound Staggered to my Strat's bridge, and I really like it. It's not a humbucker, but I would put its output up against any humbucker anytime. Cuts like a razor!

nope not at all, you do need to roll back the volume and lower the gain excessively but other than that its not bad, nothing amazing the real strength lies in the distortion when it comes ot the hotrails, if you want a clean, just switch to a neck pick up with some ohter pu in there.
