Re: Versatile config for H-S-H (Godin Freeway)
AHHH Godins...such GREAT guitars. The one I played sounded bright so I'd go A2 magnets with an A2P or PG for the neck/ A2p single/ and an A2P, PG, or for higher output a Custom Custom for the bridge.
Tell us about how the final tone is by the way!

Re: Versatile config for H-S-H (Godin Freeway)
just my 2 cents ...
4-wire '59 in the neck ... alt choices are Alnico II Pro or Jazz
vintage rails in the middle
jb in the bridge .. alt choices are CC or C5
you really want to go with the mega 5 way in order to get n+b combinations
good luck

Re: Versatile config for H-S-H (Godin Freeway)
Hi, I will not recommend any particular PUs. The HBs should have higher output so that they still have reasonable output when split.
For optimal versability I would recomment using the Eyb Megaswitch E
This enables you to switch neck+bridge PU in Pos 3 (instead of middle PU alone). If you use a Push/Pull pot for HB-splitting you can achieve all combinations of LP, Tele and Strat (except middle PU alone).

Versatile config for H-S-H (Godin Freeway)
Hi fellas,
Need a versatile config for my H-S-H Godin Freeway Classic.
1. I need the regular strat 2 and 4 positions. I guess I have to split the neck humbucker for that.
2. A good rendition of the neck/bridge strat mod
3. A humbucker at the neck for Clean leads runs and crunch/heavy at the bridge
Anyone can recommend me the pickups to use?
