Has anyone sent their PGn in to be wound hotter? I'm thinking about 8-8.2k, I'd like to make it a little jucier, plus it would probably sound better coiltapped. What change in tone could I expect if any, would it add too much bass, or should I leave well enough alone?

Dr. Barlo has an 8k PG bridge model that he uses in the neck...he loves it, and I think I would too...I am reallt thinking about getting a set of over wound PG wound by MJ...I was thinking maybe around 8k for the neck and maybe 10k for the bridge.If you just read a post by The Guy Who Invented Fire please understand that opinions change, mind sets change and as players our ears mature...not to mention our needs grow and change. With that in mind, today I may or may not agree with the post you just read!
