Have you ever been really surprised to find out which pickups a certain artist uses? I don't like the band Korn, but I'll use them as an example. When their Ibanez signature seven-string came out, the stock pickups were DiMarzio PAFs. I can't associate their muddy, warped sound with PAFs at all. And Lynch's association with the Screamin' Demon seemed very odd to me, as he's known for using JBs. JBs and SDs don't sound very similar to my ears. Any thoughts?
