  • 72' Thinline Fender

    Hello,
I'm new to the forum, just joined today because I have a R.I. Fender 72 Thinline that I bought used for cheap. I like the fiddle, but the neck pickup has a far more booming sound that the bridge pickup, which sounds a bit brittle and small.
So my question is this, has anyone tried any other pickups in this sort of guitar? I was thinking about trying a Gibson P-94 or a Seymor Phat Cat, but i'm open to any suggestions anyone may have.
I play kind of indy rocking nonsense through a tweed deluxe copy & an Analogman TS9.
    Best Wishes,
    MG
PS: I just wanted to use this thing:

the '72 has one of the bigger fender buckers right? so youll probably need to get a new pick guard or even better yet, you could have the stock one rewound to any spec you want. what type of sound are you looking for?
