Does anyone know if I can get a red/white,. blue/white, or red/blue bobbins as a shop floor custom? What about full shreds?

The Super Ferrites are basically ceramic pickups, if I recall. My fave trem is the Wilkinson. Gotoh makes a really good version of this. Add Sperzel tuners and a LSR roller nut, and you have most of the tuning stability of a Floyd with none of the hassles.
As far as which pickups to go with, I think a Distortion set would fit well into the "Balls to the Wall" category.

So on Fri. my dad called me and asked what "Super Ferrite" pups were and I told him I'd never heard of them. He told he found a Peavey with them and they sounded alright but the guitar played very well. We talked a bit more and he fessed up to buying it for me to work on (he knows I'll mess with mine if nothing else). XL-3 I think
I saw it for the first time on Saturday ugh! Brown metal flake paint a creme-ish cracked pickguard and humbucker sized pups with a single rail. It played extremely well and had a fast neck with a maple fingerboard. The guitar had a cheesy bridge but the pups did well with it. They sounded somewhere between a P90 and a Bucker. So I'll be taking bridge recomendations too I don't think the guitar is thick enough for a floyd or anthing requiring back routing.
So I've decided I want a "balls to the wall" set of pups, probably passive. Distortion Bridge MAYBE invader. Rails are also a consideration, and something in the neck fairly hot too, maybe a full shred like a Jackson Warrior. The guitar isn't stripped but on the inside it lookes like a cheaper wood. Maybe basswood or poplar.
