  • Blackout Preamp wired with bypass switch for passive use?

Hello all, thanks for taking the time to read. I searched the forums but could not find a definitive answer to what I am looking for.

So I was planning on getting a set of the black winter pups. I wanted to add the blackout preamp however I want to be able to switch between active and passive.

I plan to use the following wiring diagram http://cdn.seymourduncan.com/pdfs/su...H_1V_2T_3W.pdf
I am good at soldering, just not good with the how and why things work.

I know the blackouts use 25k pots and standard passives need 500k pots.

I would like to sacrifice a tone knob and make it a 500k push pull volume pot for both pups in passive mode which would act as the bypass or on off switch for active passive mode, while making the other tone pot a master tone for both pups in active mode. And of course the blackout preamp the master vol in active mode.

Like I said I can follow a diagram but making one up myself and knowing that it would work the way I want is a different thing. Anyone with some wiring skills think they could draw me up a very detail diagram or at least point me to one similar to what I am looking for?

    Thanks so much.
