Could you help me? I need a wiring diagram for the Gus G. blackouts for a 2 Humbucker 1 volume, 1 tone, Super 5 Way switch. It's a Jackson DK2MQ Dinky Quilt Top.
I downloaded the diagram for a super 5 way from here, but the diagram that came for the Gus G's are only for a three way switch. I have concerns about the wiring for the tone knob, and the grounds.
The way the tone knob is wired right now is like the schematic I downloaded from here. The way I was thinking of soldering the tone knob is Having the white (hot wire) connected to the (5 way) switch on the far right end, similar to what it [looks] like now, then to the "pot signal in": as opposed to the middle of the three way toggle switch drawn in the Gus G diagram, but that looks weird because there will be one long wire to the 5 way then to the preamp/volume pot.
The ground from the current pickup wiring goes from the pickup to the 5 way switch and crosses over three connectors on each side of the switch, whereas in Gus G. diagram, they the go straight into the preamp/volume pot. I'm not sure about doing that because I don't know if it is grounded by going through the tone knob into the switch (which would be on the left side of the 5 way), or the output jack.
