I am completely new to this (and posting for my son). We are building a guitar with 2 SD P90 phat cats, 2 vol, 2 tone and a 3 way switch. We have the wiring diagram, but are wondering about something simple related to the pickups themselves. Do they have to be oriented in a particular direction? The diagrams show the braided wires such that the bridge pickup is turned with the wire being closest to the volume pot and the neck pickup is turned with the braided wire coming out the side farthest from the vol pot. Thank you for helping a complete idiot with this stuff. And here's a link to the wiring diagram.
