  • Duckbucker vs APS II

i own a fender squier strat and have a duckbucker on the bridge.
i use it for fast punchin rock, it's great
but i'm going to buy me a fender lite ash strat, it has three APSII pickups in it

now, is it a good idea to put the duckbucker in the lite ash in combination with the APSII
or just leave it and let the three APSII do their work?

    Welcome to the forum.

I would try the APS's for a while and wee how you like them. They will be different from the Ducks, but they do have a very nice sound to them.

I like both of them, but the APS II's have much more of a vintage strat tone. I agree with the idea of playing the guitar as is for awhile and then making your decision.
