I have an Ibanez Jetking I (basswood body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, tunomatic style bridge strings through body) and the stock pickups are... weak and they squeal like a pig when I turn up the gain/volume, so I'd like to replace them.
I'm looking for a classic to hard rock sound, somewhat powerful for the bridge pickup, but also something that sounds GOOD when coil-tapped (pickups need to have 4 conductors as well). I was thinking about finding a 4 conductor 59 (even though it costs 10 bucks more) and a Custom 5 bridge pickup.
any thoughts?
