polarity question

Im using a strat and wanted to change my pup's. The Tone Wizard suggest me to use:-
bridge = SJBJ-1 JB jr
neck = SCR-1 Cool Rail
*middle = APS-1 Alnico II pro staggered

the question is, do i use the rw/rp type for the middle pickup?
(i dont really understand this polarity thingy except that using it the right way, it can reduce hum/noise and maintain the signal)

The JB Jr and the Cool Rail are both humbuckers. The polarity of the APS-1 won't matter unless you are going to split the humbuckers and combine them with the APS-1

I was about to ask the same thing. So what if you use a rails pickup in the middle also and then split them?

If you're going to split the coils, you just need to make sure you use the half of the pup (the coil) that is opposite (polarity and direction of current) of the single coil. If all else fails, you can just do trial and error 'til you get it.

I would reconsider the choice of pups. The APS-1 is very low output compared to the CoolRail and especially the JB Jr. I'd consider a Little '59.
