Blackened Black Winter?

"This new model also takes on a more darker form of the Black Winter – 'The Blackened Black Winter' which features black allen screws as well as a dark logo in Old English font."
On the just released 6 string Keith Merrow sig from Schecter.

It's supposed to be exclusive to the guitar, but you think it would be too much to ask for shop floor custom?

Re: Blackened Black Winter?

Hexes usually = sharper attack, less bass, tighter

Double screw usually = warmer, less stiff

Combine those two and it's probably not all that different.

Re: Blackened Black Winter?

Would a pickup with hexes in the three lower strings and screws in the rest be doable?

Re: Blackened Black Winter?

Wow, the Black Winter is plenty bright as it is. It would be interesting to hear a comparison, though.

Re: Blackened Black Winter?

That would be cool. Fine tuning the sound of your pickup with either hex or normal screws, and then their height...

Re: Blackened Black Winter?

Being double screw, even though hexes, it's probably not brighter than the original.

Hey buddy, shop floor custom is no problem for a Blackened Black Winter.

Re: Blackened Black Winter?

What about different kinds of black. There should be:
- jet black
- sapphire black
- ruby black
- citrin black

Maybe it's time for a Schenkar V with a Blackened Winter and a White Winter...
