  • tele hotrails with push-pull Wiring HELP!

Just got my hot rails for tele. I've checked the diagrams in the box and on the website. I want to split the pickup, but the diarams assume i'm using a 5 way. I want to leave the 3 way, and use my new 250k fender push pull knob (at the tone). Does someone know where i can get a schematic?

I've also bought a new 500k pot for the volume (old one scratchy) It has a cap included, where should i use this? If at all. Is it because one might use it as a tone when you buy it, and it's a freebie? It says 0.22k on it and is red/brown. Hope someone can help.

When it comes to splitting, its just a matter of hooking up the red/white combo to the center of the switch. Then run ground to the lug immediately above that. Use this diagram for a reference:

    http://www.seymourduncan.com/website...oil_split.html

Remember, the fact that that diagram doesn't match your guitar doesn't matter. The switch will be the same . . . except for one thing: SD always shows the pup split with the control down. I'd do it with the switch "up", which means that you want to move the ground, thats on the switch, to the top terminal instead of the bottom terminal.

The cap that came with your pot might be for a treble-bleed mod. Like this:

Although, the cap value doesn't sound right for that, so it probably is in case you want to use that as a tone control.
