    Other than the LP Deluxe mini coming mounted in a cut-out P-90 cover, no...

    Output is:
    1. Firebird = 6.7k neck, 8.2k bridge
    2. LP Deluxe = 6.7k neck, 8.1k bridge

      Rich, that's going to be a really cool setup...

        I think so, Butch. It's a Nashville, so it'll have the Tex-Mex Strat in the middle, too. Thank god for the MIM "swimming pool" pickup route.

        I have 12 hours to decide whether I want the plate normal or flipped. Hmmm... Controls will be 5-way switch with bridge p/u in the middle, master volume pot, tone pot wired to fade between the QP's tap & full coil.

          I like having the Vol closer to the strings, just in case I want to try some volume swells. I've switch all my Tele control plates around. Although Roy Buchanan mastered swells without doing the mod.

          To me it's a matter of which do you need to have closer, the Volume or the selector switch. Personally I think Volume, but I tend to find a selector position I like and stick to it.

          I don't mean to offend, I just have a knack for it.

          Duncans used; Lil '59, Ducky & Hotrail in my Mahogany Hardtail Strat;
          Brobucker and Cool Rail are on hold for future projects.

            Does this mean they could be split? I'm thinking of putting minis in a LP Special and I would like to be able to combine two split HBs for a wide, Tele-esque magnetic field.

              My SM-1 came with a single shielded lead. I believe the SM-2 and -3 have 4-wire leads, so you could split those.

                If they are 4-conductor, you could aplit them; but I wouldn't advise it. Their tone is bright enough and if you slpit them they are going to be thinner than any other single coil and won't sound too good. Also, if they are split, you'll have balance issues when combining them with other pickups...

                  Do Mini-HBs have standard size magnets? Can they be switched?
