Can someone give me a compare/contrast of these two pickups in the mid position of a Les Paul Doublecut mahogany?

I've never played with the Hot Rails but I've heard bands and the clips from this site and it seems like if it makes Strats and Teles as bassy as it does, it'd probably make a mahogany guitar muddier than Woodstock.

????? Les Paul DC is an H/H guitar, the hot rails is a single coil size. I'm lost on the comparison request.

Do you mean the JB Jr.? Cause a full size JB won't fit in that single hole.

I personally haven't used a JB Jr. but I hear great things about it. If I'm not mistaken I think Zerb said something to the effect of, "think of it as the JB's younger brother: similar, but a bit ruder and pushier." I'm not sure how I could compare it to the Hot Rails.
