is super2 the right neck pickup to march a SD in bridge slot of a les paul custom? if not any other suggestion?

Kim Thayil's "Outshined" guitar (Guild S-200) pairs a Super Distortion with a Dimarzio PAF 36th Ann.- the same pickup combo in Fender's Kurt Cobain Jaguar.

Depends how you use the neck pup, but for mostly leads IMO yes the super2 would be a good choice.

I think that may have been part of the intention of the Super 2.

But if it's "right" is going to be up to your own ears. The good peeps over at www.DiMarzioForum.com might be an excellent resource.

Generally speaking, Super2 is the obvious answer.

Both super 2, paf, and paf pro, work very well. I stuck with the paf though. With the super 2 I felt my guitar became too much of a one trick pony.

i have a super d paired with a paf pro and i like that combo a lot

^ Yes. Super D with a PAF Pro sounds great...and they look the same.
