  • Trying to decide between Strat with EMG or seymour

Hi I was wondering if you guys could help me out. I want a versatile strat (only have one but dont like the weak pus) and I like to play everything from blues to heavy. Im trying to decide between EMG DG-20 and Hot Rails/Hot Stack/Hot Rails that are the combinations available that I liked in the music stores around here. I mean if you have those pups in your strat please tell me what you think of them and what sounds can you get with it. I like Pinfk Floyd, Ozzy, Led, V Halen, Angra. What set is better for me?? I accept suggestions too... And another thing.. I want output balance between pus.(neck and bridge).. so the middle can be single...

It sounds like you're leaning toward a much fatter strat sound.
EMG's always sound too hi-fi and don't allow the guitar's character to shine through like the best Duncans do.
You could go for an HSS setup with tremspaced humbucker.
      JB trem, cool rails, hotrails
      59 or C-5/2 lil 59's.
      Pearly Gates/2 Cool Rails
      CC/lil 59/JB Jr.

If yo want to stay with SSS, try some of those above combos with bridge position humbucking minis, like the JB Jr bridge, lil 59 B, or Hot Rails B
