I'm going to be replacing the rails pick ups in my old korean strat. The guitar is actually routed for a H/S/H configuration, I just need to buy the pick guard to install them. I like the rails (2 hots and a cool in the middle), but I've determined that I just like true humbucker sounds the best.
So, I'm going to go with a Distortion Bridge, and a Jazz neck, but I'm not sure what to put in the middle. I'd like a true single coil for the middle, but I'm looking for something that will match, or at least be close, to the output/tone/vibe of the Dist/Jazz. I'm VERY clueless about single coils hehe, so any recommendations would help. I mainly play all forms of rock/metal, and amp is a boogie tri-axis with a boogie 50/50 power amp if that helps.
