  • Seymour Duncan SJBJ vs Seymour Duncan SL59-1B

    Hi you pickup experts!

I changed my old Seymour Duncan SJBJ to bridge to my Strat American Special and was wondering couple of things.
The pickup was fine but the difference with high freqs was maybe too much comparing to the regular pickup/neck singlecoil.

Would the Seymour Duncan SL59 be little bit brighter OR is there some other singlecoil humbucker, what is quite as bright as the orginal pickup, just with more humbucker sound?

    Thanx!

    Welcome to the forum!

The JB Jr is also more powerful, so that is probably a factor in those pickups not matching up. The Little 59 isn't as powerful as the JB Jr, but has more highs than the JB Jr, which has more upper mids. The neck Little 59 might be a good choice.
