i havent tried it but i bet with a pair of a5 bars it would sound really nice. prs used the custom p90 neck in the bridge of a few of their guitars for a while

I liked it more than Custom neck that it replaced in my Firebird influenced guitar. Not as compressed, better dynamic, and better clean for a hot P-90. Never tried it with different magnets since I felt it was unnecessary. It gave me push that I wanted without being over the top. Now I use Vintage neck, but I won't hesitate to use Hot neck again when needed.
