  • Coil Tap on Hot Rails/Lil' 59?

i have a tele and im planning to get either one of those pickups. They are both very hot and thats just what I need. But I also want to have an option of having the single coil tele twang. is it possible to coil tap these pickups? Im leaning towards getting the hot rails.

it does have the four cables. or does this have nothing to do with it.

You can tap with a 4-conducter cable. Don't know how the pickup would sound though.

yes......you can tap either, although with my experience with a split single coil sized bucker was a fairly weak and possibly useful tone, but not great

althought that was a lil 59, a hot rails probably has more oomph when split because its just simply hotter than the lil 59

          How about parallel wiring it?

I like the cool rails and hot rails split. The cool rails are especially good in the neck or middle. I have a split on my lil 59 too, and it's not a bad tone at all. It's different than a regular single coil but not in a bad way. I like to combine my lil 59 and cool rails when split for a nice strat quack tone

oh, well i was assuming it is in the bridge position? if it was a hot rails or lil 59 in the neck split.....it would be plenty usuable....... i just have played a lil 59 in the bridge split, and it was kinda tiny and not too great of a tone......

I was saw this Tele on ebay, it was an Esquire(one pickup). And it had like the 3 way control switch, but one of the option was a sort of sound boast(like for solos). anyone know what im talking about?
