    Re: versatility

I'd say the Jb was the most recommended pickup on here, infact i have one myself, yeah id say its quite versatile, i guess .
Epiphone Les Paul Studio (59 neck and JB bridge)
    Marshall Valvestate 8080 (80 watts)
    Korg AX1500G multi-fx
    RAT
    Boss PH-1r
    Ibanez cf-7
    Ibanwz ts-7
    Danelectro tremolo
Vintage RAT - needs a fix!

Not much else - it does the job

Dooogz is taking a break from SD - ill be back soon crew!

      Re: versatility

If you want versatility, I recommend a lower output pickup.
The Seth Lover is great for many styles. It has a pure output that sounds great clean and it sounds great distorted too. I have a hard time getting decent clean tones from the higher output pickups. I also depend on the amp for power, not the pickup.

It's hard to go wrong with a 59 for any style of music.

When I saw the topic of this thread the 59 entered my mind immediately. As Jolly said you can cover anything. I would also say that the JB is a close 2nd in my opinion.

Yep, JB or 59B .. The JB will be a little hotter, the 59B more of a Vintage vibe. Both great.

Blues Trembucker...if only Duncan made a standard-spaced, standard polepiece version of this pickup for hardtail guitars. In fact, I love that pickup so much that I'm going to have the custom shop make me a standard-spaced, standard polepiece version with a cover.
