  • Help!

hi! to everyone, I'm new here.
    I need some help!!

I want to change the pups of my Aria FA-80 maple arched top, 2 hum,
coil tap swhich, and the tailpiece is like bigsby. I play pop & rock.

Can someone teach me how to remove and to return back the vol & tone caps/swich?

    tnx,
    lito

    Re: Help!

Installing pickups and doing component changes in archtop guitars is a serious pain in the buttes[ecially the first couple of times you do it. Most guys use nylon fishing line or something simular and tie that to the component bushing stems. That way you can pull the pots through the guitar to the pickup mountin holes and then use the fishing line to pull the components back through the guitar.

It's not an easy thing to do and if you have any doubts about being able to pull it off, you might be well served taking it to a pro.

      Re: Help!

      Tnx Robert!

I always do repair in all my solid body guitars and find it easy. This is my first hollow body guitar , pups sound so thin. I try to change the ceramic mag to a A5 on both pups the neck sound good in clean & dirty but the bridge is kind of harsh. I need your input on this matter.

Again, thank you for your advice. I think I can make it!

      This Forum is great!
