  • Epiphone Casino or Dot w/ phat cats

I posted a question yesterday about who good the phat cats are. I received a lot of good feedback saying that they're awsome. Now, what do you guys think would be a better choice: a Casino, which obviously comes with p-90's, or putting the cats in a Dot. I play mostly blues with some classic rock. Not really anything too heavy or any jazz or country. Thanks in advance.

I'm going off the board and saying Hamer USA!

I've never played either guitar, but I think I'd go with the Dot. That way, if you ever decide to change the Phat Cats, you'll have more pickup options with the full-size humbucker routes.

the casino has its own voice and would not sound the same as a dot which has a center block and is only semi hollow. the casino is a good guitar but can be a hassle on stage (feedback). i think you should play both and see which one you like. they feel different even though they are almost the same shape.

you would probably have to change pickups in the casino anyway
