    How it sounds?
    It could sound better than the 59n split with the single coil in the second position of a 5 way switch in an ibanez, the single coil is the s1 ibanez. the second positions sounds lke a strat noise.

    I dont have personal experience with this but id say it would sound pretty good. Both are fat sounding pickups, the JB more than the 59, but they should give you a nice warm tone i would think.

        I found the '59 neck split to be a very weak sound.

        The '59 already is not a high output pickup. So the split sound was half of that.

        Since the '59n already has a sort of single coil quality to it, I just run it full out. Nice jangle, nice clarity. I realized that what I wanted to split it for was accomplished by the pickup itself.
