  • Help, DDb squealing...

The Duncan Distortion bridge pup (gold cover but wax-potted) i have put in my Gibson LP custom '57ri a week ago is squealing like hell... Though i really like the pup's tone and output the loud squealing is starting to annoy me (and my bandmembers and my neighbours). When playing it's OK but when i stop playing or during a break which i use often it's a direct hit on my delicate ears. I have it wired in the spin-a-split mode, could this be a reason? If not, what could be a reason/remedy for this problem? I have also tried lowering the pickup height but that didn't help much. Some advice would be greatly appreciated.
