  • Distortion Trembucker/59n on Ibanez RG

    Hi dudes...

the other guitarrist of my band has one RG 550 or something...maybe one 2000 model...baswood body, rosewood fingerboard, and that v7-v8-s1 pups

we are going to play live this month, so my bandmate thinks that his axe needs to sound more...."crunchy", more lows and harmonics...and i have tried that tone wizards tool, and it seems that this set is the best for the specs of the guitar

btw do you think thats the best option?¿?

    thanks a lot dudes...see ya

The TB-6 and an 59n will be crushing in a RG.

it's a dynamic combo but there'll be difference in volumes as the outputs are different for these humbuckers.

The distortion/'59 set should work okay, although it might be a little bright. I'm a big fan of the Blues Trembucker for the bridge spot of these guitars. I can't really comment on the neck, because I prefer alnico 2 pickups in that position. If you want a warmer, smoother sound from the neck spot, go with an Alnico II Pro. But a '59 should work fine in the neck.

is there an echo in here?
there will be a little volume difference when clean but dirty the 59n will just be a little cleaner
