    Hey, on my Jackson, Charvel, ive got Seymour Duncun live wire heavy metal humbuckers.... would there be anything i should think to upgrade too when i get some cash,... cause i love heavy metal its my style so any ideas of some good metal pickups better then my current ones, post here


    -Cobalt blue Charvel
    -Seymour duncan live wire heavy metal humbuckers
    -Gibson amp( model unknown its too old)
    -Behringer V-amp 2

        If you're into metal, and want active pickups, then the Duncans are the bomb. EMG's are your other choice, but from what little experience I've had, they sound somewhat sterile to me. Duncans have a way of letting the tone of the guitar and your playing shine through.

        If you want to go to passive pickups, then we have a whole nuther' can o' worms to sort out there.

          Could you express every tonal quality of those pups in other words than Seymour's? I can't rely on just one source after all! Thanks. PM would be great.
