  • Ibanez RG 320 DX

    Hello,

    I need a little help.

    What are good p/u's for an Ibanez 320 DX. Looking for a set that has very good highs and mids with plenty of low end crunch for grungy/metal.

    I tune 1/2 step down and sometimes a whole step down using Ernie Ball's 10-46.

    I'm thinking you might like a Custom/Jazz combo, but a little more info on the woods of that guitar would help.
    • EBMM JPX BFR (Crunch Lab/Liquifire)
    • Schecter C-1 Classic (Custom8/Jazz)
    • Mayones Duvell 7 Standard (Instrumental SFTY-3/Decomp)
    • G&L Tribute Comanche
    • Godin Stadium 59 (Custom Cajun/'59)
    • Horizon Precision Drive --> Fulltone FB3/FD 2 --> Crybaby From Hell (Fasel) --> Boss BF-2 --> CH-1 --> TC Flashback X4
    • Mesa/Boogie Mark IV-B (SED =C= 6L6) + EarCandy BuzzBomb 2x12 (V30/C90)

      The body is basswood.

        i think the Custom would sound great in that guitar.

        if you are planning on using the single coil in the middle i'd recommend getting a lil 59 or jb jr.
        and for neck, i think a 59 would sound great in that too!

          I used to have a 270DX

          Distortion bridge and '59 neck ripped in that baby, I had a screamin demon in there once too that sounded good.

                i'd pick the Custom in the bridge for its overall versatility. if you solo in the neck the Distortion/ Full Shred would be good contenders.
