I plug into the high gain input, set the pre-gain at 6-7, resonance and presence are all the way up. As far as the eq, I really prefer a lot of midrange, so the bass is at 10, mid at 9 and treble at 7. This really opens up the tone for me. I wouldn't really call it a traditional "thrash" tone. For that I would scoop the mids more. However, the bottom stays tight without getting muddy and the harmonics jump right out. I credit the guitars and pickups as much as the amp.
