would a sd jazz(neck) sound like an alnico 2 pro(neck) if i change the magnet to an alnico 2 or 3? i think they're made of the same wire and the dc resistance is pretty close. any thoughts?

Re: A2 jazz?
I seriously doubt A2 Jazz would sound like a APH-1n. The APH-1 has a lot of bass, put an A5 magnet in and you have even more bass. I didn't try it myself, I found it unnecessary. I thought the Jazz was good with the A5.Originally posted by Pink Unicorn HorseyDumbness on massive idiocy with the stupid dumb-dumbnity of ridiculous WTFation in the dumbass of you-idiot.Originally posted by Sosomething"How do I improve the tone of my ThrasherKidzz-O-Blaster combo??"

Re: A2 jazz?
just swapped the a5 magnets in my jazz for an a2 and the result is very good, sweeter highs, more mids and slightly less bass, more like an alnico II pro.
originally i want an a2p for my les paul but i couldn't find any locally i tried ordering but its 7 weeks and hasn't arrived so i bought a jazz instead and change the magnets, and the sound is pretty close imho2006 Gibson Custom '58 Reissue Les Paul
